🛕 Must-Visit – Somnath Mahadev Temple

The Somnath Temple is the soul of this town. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it’s believed to be the first among the twelve Jyotirlingas in India. The temple has been destroyed and rebuilt several times, yet it stands proudly today—facing the sea, unshaken by time.

The current structure, rebuilt in 1951 under the guidance of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, reflects classic Chalukyan architecture. The Aarti at sunrise, noon, and sunset fills the atmosphere with a divine aura. Don’t miss the Sound and Light Show in the evening which narrates the temple’s glorious past.
